THANK YOU ALL!!!
It is with great excitement we share the details of our FOURTH club night at Watersmeet!

Buy your tickets over the phone by calling the Watersmeet Box Office on 01923 711063
Buy your tickets online by visiting http://www.watersmeet.co.uk
Buy your tickets in person at one of our weekly sessions
Please note: Our participants will be allocated a performers ticket and do not need to purchase a ticket to the show. However, all parents and supporters will required to purchase a ticket. Tickets purchased over the phone or online will be subject to a booking fee.
The event is aimed at those over the age of 18 and alcohol will be on sale. Under 18s may purchase tickets to the event if accompanied by a responsible adult.
Please join us for what promises to be an amazing evening of music and plenty of joy.
We will be combining the forces of all 3 of our groups – that’s over 50 members… so… it’s gonna be CRAAAAAZY in there. (Performers – please arrive with yellow t-shirts in time for a start time of 8.30pm – until late!)
We desperately need to raise a bit of cash so we can crack on with the work we do. Please come down and support us… you won’t regret it.
With great pride we finally present to you the high-lights (of which there were many!) from UMBRELLAFEST back in August. Massive thanks to Simon at Factotum films for getting it together. Enjoy!
Exactly one year ago today, your overwhelming contributions and support to our fundraising campaign on Kickstarter made the Electric Umbrella joy of the past 12 months possible!
One year on, after a hugely successful tour, sold out club night in March, and ‘Umbrellafest’ our inaugural summer festival, we now have weekly sessions in Rickmansworth, Watford and Hemel Hempstead attended by over 50 guys each week. (Not forgetting our regular gigs and shows!)
Again, we have made the same commitment (with no funding!) for the next 12 months, to bring you an even bigger club night in spring, and an even bolder Umbrellafest next summer, with all the usual shenanigans and weekly sessions along the way.
Whilst we are currently operating without any funding, we are blessed with your donations and support to make all of this possible! Should any of you wish to match your donation from last year, and support us again, we would be extremely grateful, and guarantee we have A LOT more joy to share! (We have a brand new donation facility via Paypal that might tempt you!)
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for all your support in every way – donations, in kind support, ferrying the guys to gigs at (a moments notice!), and all the love and likes on Facebook, we couldn’t do it without you!
Tom, Mel and all the guys at Electric Umbrella xxx
The inaugural Umbrellafest took place on Thursday 6 August, 2015.
This incredible evening was the culmination of a wondrous week of workshops led by some exceptional practitioners and bustling with all kinds of musical experiences; much like our regular weekly sessions but on a much larger scale!
The finale, was attended by 300 people, and has been brilliantly captured by Wendy Grant.
A selection of her images below give you a taste of the spirit and joy of the evening, and more are available here.
Umbrellafest would not have been possible without the phenomenal support of so many. R Bensons, who gave us the cash to make it happen. Caroline and her wonderful family gave us a truly magical venue together with absolutely unwavering support in every way possible. William Botterill provided all the refreshments through Tesco other local suppliers, and the guys from ACS seamlessly ran the event and made sure everyone was well fed and watered. Amazing musicians supported our Electric Umbrella participants, each of whom just did us so proud and entertained us all so brilliantly all evening. We had some exceptional volunteers – Amar you were just fab. And to the wonderful practitioners Tim, Carmen and Euan that brought the magic, it was a pleasure to work with you!
We are so grateful for everything everyone did to make the joy possible, and we are already getting excited for Umbrellafest 2016!
And a few from the week of workshops…
