All weekly sessions run from 1pm – 3pm, and members are invited to bring a packed lunch and join us to eat from 12.30pm.


Monday afternoons – The Old Town Hall, High Street, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 3AE 


Thursday afternoons – Merchant Taylors’ School, Sandy Lodge, Northwood HA6 2HT

Becoming a Member

There are three seasons of Electric Umbrella each year, and these co-ordinate with academic term times. Each season of Electric Umbrella includes free access to weekly sessions, touring and performance opportunities.

If you are invested in becoming a member please return a completed application form and we will be in touch. The fee for each season is a minimum payment* of £200. Please note, Electric Umbrella is currently fully subscribed. Please do still complete an application form for a place on our waiting list. Wait times will be confirmed upon receipt of completed application. For any other enquiries relating to your application please contact us.

*The running cost of each season is significantly subsidised by fundraising and we would welcome a higher donation if you would like to contribute more to Electric Umbrella.
